Tilden

Tilden House - Sir William Tilden F.R.S (c1856-1859)

Professor of Chemistry, Imperial College; Dean of the Royal College of Science; Principle of the Royal School of Mines, He was the first chemist to prepare a specimen of synthetic rubber. The schools scientific society, founded in 1920, was named after him.
